What a Ganpati DJ song actually is
It is a devotional song with a sound system built underneath it.
The songs themselves are mostly old and mostly Marathi. Sukhkarta Dukhharta is the standard Ganpati aarti, sung in homes across Maharashtra every evening of the festival. What a Ganesh Chaturthi DJ song does is take that melody and rebuild it on a heavy kick, a trance lead or an EDM drop, so it works out of a speaker stack on a moving truck instead of in a living room.
That combination bothers some people and delights others, and both reactions are reasonable. What is not in dispute is that it works: a procession that has been walking since noon responds to a drop in a way it does not respond to a harmonium.

Note how many entries are mashups and nonstop mixes rather than single songs. That is not padding. It is the actual format the festival needs, and the reason is in the next section but one.
Dhol-tasha is the thing the DJ is built around
Several tracks here are labelled Nashik Dhol or dhol-tasha mix, and that is the tell.
Dhol-tasha is the Maharashtrian procession percussion format: a big barrel dhol slung at the waist, paired with the sharp high-pitched tasha, played by a standing troupe of anywhere from twenty to two hundred. Pune and Nashik have distinct styles, and the troupes rehearse for months before the festival.
Here is the thing worth understanding: the DJ track is not competing with the dhol-tasha, it is scored around it. The good Ganpati DJ songs leave space in the low-mid range for live drums to sit, because at a real visarjan both are happening at once and the troupe is not turning down. A remix that fills every frequency sounds enormous on headphones and useless on the street.
Why the mixes are so long
A visarjan procession is not a three-minute event. A large mandal can take eight or ten hours to travel a few kilometres, stopping constantly as crowds join and the idol is offered flowers along the route.
So the format adapts. Instead of individual songs you get nonstop mashups running twenty, forty, sixty minutes, because nobody on that truck is free to cue tracks. Load the mix, and it carries the next hour on its own.
That is also why the playlist ends with a run of quieter bhaktigeet and the Om Gan Ganapataye Namah mantra. Eleven days of festival are not eleven days of drops. The mornings are aarti and the evenings are the road show, and a complete Ganpati playlist has to cover both.

The rule of thumb
If it would still work with a live dhol-tasha troupe playing over the top of it, it belongs on a visarjan playlist. That single constraint explains the long mixes, the space in the mid range, and why so many of these tracks sound thin on earphones and enormous on a street.
Straight answers
What is a Ganpati Bappa DJ song?
A Marathi Ganpati devotional song or aarti rebuilt as a DJ remix, usually on a dhol-tasha or EDM base, made for the processions during Ganesh Chaturthi and especially for visarjan. Sukhkarta Dukhharta and Bappa Morya Re are the best known.
Is this Ganpati DJ playlist free?
Yes. The player at the top of this page streams free in your browser on desktop and mobile. There is no account, no sign-up and nothing to download.
What songs are played during Ganpati visarjan?
Visarjan runs on dhol-tasha rhythms plus DJ remixes of Sukhkarta Dukhharta, Bappa Morya Re, Deva Ho Deva, Gajanana and Zala Ho Gajawaja, along with long nonstop mashups that keep the procession moving for hours.
What is dhol-tasha and why does it matter?
Dhol-tasha is the Maharashtrian percussion troupe format — a large dhol paired with the higher-pitched tasha, played standing and walking. Pune and Nashik styles are best known, and most Ganpati DJ tracks are built to sit on top of that rhythm rather than replace it.
When is Ganesh Chaturthi celebrated?
It falls in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada, usually late August or September. The festival runs up to eleven days and ends with visarjan, when the idols are carried in procession and immersed.
How many songs are in this Ganpati DJ playlist?
57 tracks, mixing named Marathi songs, long nonstop mashups, dhol-tasha mixes, aartis and devotional bhaktigeet.
Can I play Ganpati Bappa Morya DJ songs on my phone?
Yes. The player is built for mobile as well as desktop, and the artwork switches to a portrait version on phones. Keep the tab open and it keeps playing.
Are there quieter Ganpati songs on this playlist too?
Yes. Alongside the remixes there is the Sukhkarta Dukhharta aarti, the Om Gan Ganapataye Namah mantra and several Marathi bhaktigeet, so it is not all hard beats.
